Adding money to Sonect

Topping up your Sonect account is easy with multiple payment options, including bank transfers, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Learn which methods are supported, how to link your bank, and which currencies you can use.

Bank accounts

If your preferred bank is not available on our platform yet, you can top-up your Sonect wallet via banktransfer from any bank.

Apple Pay or Google Pay

Yes, you can deposit your Apple Pay or Google Pay account. We currently accept Visa and Mastercard*. Please note that American Express cards are not accepted.

* Except credit cards from Cornercard/Revolut

What payment methods can I use within Sonect? Can I use my credit card?

You can connect your bank account to directly withdraw money from it or you can add your credit card. We currently accept Visa and MasterCard.

Exchanging currencies with foreign credit card

Sonect is working on a solution to always charge you in your home currency. With this solution we will offer very favourable currency exchange rates.

Currently, only the local currency of the withdrawal location is available and thus in case your credit card is in a different currency, the DCC of your credit card can be applied. This, however, is not a Sonect service.

Currently, you can connect directly to your PostFinance, Hypotherkarbank Lenzburg, neon bank and MigrosBank account. More banks will be accepted shortly.
If your preferred bank is not available on our platform, you can top-up your Sonect Wallet via Banktransfer from any bank.

Which currencies can I withdraw?

The currency for your withdrawals is based on your location. So if you are trying to receive cash in Switzerland, it will be Swiss Francs (CHF).

Bank transfer

Return to the TWINT App and start the application again.

How can I cancel an active request?

Once you are successfully verified, you’ll be able to top up your account in several ways. To do so, simply go to the Sonect app and select the wallet balance on your Dashboard to see the available options.

Bank Transfer (Up to 2 business days):

SEPA Transfer for EU

  • The transfer must be in EUR and within the SEPA zone.

Domestic Transfer for Switzerland

  • The transfer must be in CHF
